Giti Tire has been named Automotive Supplier of the Year and Hardlines Supplier of the Year by Walmart USA. Giti took home the prestigious awards at the Walmart USA 2016 kickoff meeting in Indianapolis, Ind., on February 11-12.
Giti Tire officials said it was a “great honor” to be named the Hardline Supplier of the Year, a category that has more than 1,000 suppliers, and being selected one of four finalists in the general merchandise category. Giti came out on top of Walmart’s large number of tire suppliers, including Goodyear, Michelin, BFGoodrich, Hankook, Bridgestone, Continental, Pirelli, and others.
Walmart is the largest company in the world by both revenue and number of employees. Giti supplies tires to the retailer’s wide network of Tire Lube & Express outlets, which are also sold on Walmart.com.
